Os Malandros de Mestre Touro was formed to pay homage to the Mestre Touro (Master Bull) the Living Legendary Mestre Touro (Antonio Oliveira Bemvindo). Mestre Touro is the Mestre of Mestre Preto Velho (Master Old black, Dennis Newsome, born June 21, 1958) who is the founder and director of Os Malandros de Mestre Touro. This group has expanded from San Diego (California) to Los Angeles (California) Directed by Professor Jahsun, Dallas (Texas) Directed by Contra Mestre Bode Cantador, Austin (Texas) Directed by Contra Mestre Cara de Cavalo, Chicago (Illinois) Directed by Kamau Rashid and Atlanta (Georgia) Directed by Geno Fearce.
Capoeira developed in Brazil in three separate locations simultaneously. These Locations are Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Pernambuco. Os Malandros de Mestre Touro are proponents of the Capoeira of Rio de Janeiro, specifically “Capoeira Angola de Sao Bento Grande”. It is an aggressive form of Capoeira Angola from Rio de Janeiro.
